Beverley Road is closed in both directions between Eldon Grove and De Grey Street following a serious incident this morning.
The incident was first reported at 9:19am by the traffic monitoring service Inrix. Humberside Police is at the scene and traffic is slow in the surrounding area.
In a post on social media, Humberside Police said: “Emergency services are currently in attendance and a road closure is in place on Beverley Road, Hull near the junction with Queens Road, following a road traffic collision today (Saturday, 6 December). Motorists are advised to avoid this area at time.”
In its latest update, Inrix said: “A1079 Beverley Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident investigation work from Eldon Grove to De Grey Street.”
