The Robins are set to take on the NRL champions to be crowned the world’s best.

Jez Litten believes Hull KR proved they’ve learned how to play in the big games, and now has his sights set on the biggest challenge of all.

The Hull KR hooker capped a tremendous season individually and collectively with a try in the Super League Grand Final victory over Wigan Warriors, securing the Robins a treble.

Winning at Old Trafford earns them the right to compete in the World Club Challenge, with Brisbane Broncos set to travel to the UK to compete in the contest.

Having now experienced all the big games going, Litten believes the Robins are ready to take on Reece Walsh and co.

“You learn from your experiences,” he said. “This team has experience of playing in big games now and we learned from that. Credit to our boys, our defence won us the game and big players took their moments.

“As a team, we’ll enjoy it for a good week, then it’s on to the next challenge. We’ve had heartbreaks like last year, but we just keep coming back and going again. For the next week or so it’s just to reflect, enjoy it and with our community and board who put so much into it.”

On the World Club Challenge, Litten said: “Watching them, I can’t wait for Payne Haas to be running at me for 80 minutes. But it’s something we’ll go after if it’s the next trophy to win. It was inspiring to see Wigan beat Penrith and we want to best showcase Super League. We’ll go after it.”
