The Robins take on Toulouse on Saturday after a four-day turnaround

Hull KR half-back Tyrone May is a doubt for Saturday’s clash with Toulouse Olympique, Willie Peters has suggested.
The half-back picked up a knee injury in the second half of last Thursday’s win over Catalans Dragons and was withdrawn from that contest. He has since had scans and while an issue was evident, he was given the green light to play on Tuesday against Warrington Wolves.
However, May struggled to impact the game as he usually would and in the closing stages of the contest, he looked to be visibly in pain.
As such, the head coach admitted May’s situation will be assessed before facing Toulouse on the four-day turnaround.
“He said he was OK but I’ll have to have a look at that now for Saturday,” Peters said. “He seemed to be hobbling so it’s something we’ll have a look at.”
The head coach did leave James Batchelor out of the contest at Craven Park, though. The pre-match suggestion was that he had been rested but Peters confirmed afterwards that the back-rower was left out due to a hamstring risk.
“He’s got a tight hamstring,” the head coach added on Batchelor. “If he played there was a little bit of risk involved so we thought we’d rest him. We didn’t want to risk him.”
Sauaso Sue and Rhyse Martin were given limited stints on the field against the Wolves with the former playing just 15 minutes before being withdrawn and he never returned to the action.
Peters has moved to allay any fresh injury concern, though.
“I just think he probably seemed a little bit more tired than usual so we brought him off,” he said on Sue. “We have another game on Saturday. I just thought from his first stint he was doing it tough.”
On Martin, he added: “I thought Jai was doing really well and I thought we needed energy. Tevita gave us that and Jai was doing a good job.”
