Hull FC are back on the M62 again this Thursday evening, heading over the Pennines to take on St Helens at the Brewdog Stadium.
The Black and Whites come into the clash on the back of seven successive defeats, and sit just two points off the bottom of the Super League table. The Saints, meanwhile, have also struggled in recent weeks, albeit they are still in shot of a play-off finish and will be looking for two big points in their quest to do so.
Both sides are without key players, with injuries derailing the seasons of both sides. Nonetheless they will both be confident that they can get the job done. As always, we’ll be there with all the team news, build up, live action, and post- match reaction. Stay tuned.

It is important. We referenced that as a group, but we’re more looking at our performance. I think over the last two games, for large periods of the game, we’ve had effort, which is great. But when we’ve hurt ourselves, we’ve hurt ourselves big. I think particularly last week against York, our discipline and our execution definitely really let us down. So we know we’re going to have to make a vast improvement in those areas to give ourselves the best opportunity to perform at our best on Thursday.

The thoughts of Hull FC’s interim head coach.
Last week was the story of our season, really; some aspects of it were good and some aspects of it were very, very poor. We didn’t get the start right again; we conceded soft tries through the middle of the field, and our yardage defence wasn’t good enough. We’re getting marched up the field far too easily, and we’re not nailing the key moments. We just need to sustain and build pressure and not apply it to ourselves. We’re allowing opponents, without working hard, to build positional pressure against us. So that’s a big area that we need to improve – full preview
