The fundraiser attracted 368 walkers for an 11-mile pub-to-pub challenge

Hundreds of walkers came together for Dove House Hospice’s much-loved Pub to Pub Walk, raising an incredible £30,194 for local charities across Hull and the East Riding. The total was double the amount raised in last year’s challenge and attracted 50 more walkers than in 2025.
The annual fundraiser saw 368 walkers take on the challenging 11-mile route, beginning at the Wetherspoon Sanctuary Bar, at the University of Hull Students’ Union, and winding through East Yorkshire’s beautiful countryside, historic villages and local communities. Along the way, participants enjoyed well-earned refreshment stops at pubs in Cottingham and Skidby, creating a fantastic atmosphere of friendship, fundraising and community spirit.
Dan Clipson, senior fundraiser at Dove House Hospice, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, volunteered, sponsored or supported this year’s Pub to Pub Walk. The event continues to go from strength to strength, and we’re delighted that a total of £30,194 has been raised for Dove House.
“Seeing so many people come together to support local charities is truly inspiring. The atmosphere throughout the day was fantastic, and it’s thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our walkers, volunteers, venue partners and sponsors that this amazing amount has been raised.”
This year’s event supported Dove House Hospice alongside a number of other local charities, including RSPCA Hull & East Riding, Fitmums & Friends, Hull University Students’ Athletic Union, Special Stars Foundation, Age UK Hull & East Yorkshire, Hull Women’s Aid and The Lampstand Group. From friends and families walking together to those taking on the challenge in memory of someone special, the Pub to Pub Walk once again showed the incredible community spirit that exists across Hull and East Yorkshire.
With this year’s event complete, preparations are already under way for next year’s walk as Dove House continues to bring people together for a day of connection, challenge and making a difference.
