A total of nine Super League players have been charged by the Match Review Panel following the latest round of action, including Matty Storton, Josh Charnley and Leon Hayes.
However, none of the players have received a suspension.
Wakefield Trinity back-rower Storton was sent off after 22 minutes of his side’s derby win over Castleford Tigers for head contact on Alex Mellor, marking his second red card of the season.
He has been handed a Grade C head contact charge, carrying three penalty points. However, his total of four penalty points remains below the threshold for a suspension.
Meanwhile, Leigh Leopards winger Charnley and Warrington Wolves half-back Hayes were both sin-binned during their Round 20 clash at the Leigh Sports Village.
Super League’s all-time leading try-scorer Charnley has received a Grade B head contact charge following his challenge on Toby King.
Leigh head coach Adrian Lam described the sin-binning as “outrageous” after the Leopards ran out 28-12 winners.
Half-back Hayes has been charged with a Grade C dangerous throw/lift, resulting in five penalty points, for his contact on Owen Trout.
Leeds Rhinos’ Ben Littlewood has picked up two separate charges, alongside disciplinary points for team-mates Brodie Croft and James McDonnell, as well as Phoenix Steinwede, Edenn Rogers-Smith and Paul McShane.
