Jamaican international playmaker Kasey Palmer is set to seal a permanent exit from Hull City after the Premier League new boys agreed a deal with Luton Town in League One.
Palmer endured a frustrating spell at the MKM Stadium following his deadline day arrival two years ago from Coventry City, and ended the season on loan with the Hatters.
Town, who were relegated from the Championship at the expense of City just over 12 months ago, narrowly missed out on a play-off place and the chance of sealing an instant return to the second-tier, but Palmer impressed and helped them win the Football League Trophy at Wembley, playing 23 times in total and scoring eight goals in the second half of the campaign.
Luton were keen to sign Palmer after that fine spell, with boss Jack Wilshere speaking in glowing terms about the former Chelsea youngster, and they’ve agreed a permanent deal with the Tigers to see the 29-year-old return to Kenilworth Road.

During his two years in East Yorkshire, Palmer played 37 times, notched three assists, with his only goal arriving during a 3-1 win at Stoke City in just his third game for the club. That was Tim Walter’s inaugural victory as boss.
Palmer’s departure is the latest in a flurry of deals done by the Tigers, as they trim their squad in preparation for life in the Premier League, with the season getting underway next month.
Ivor Pandur, Aidon Shehu and Akin Famewo have all so far departed the MKM Stadium, and it’s expected that other fringe members of the squad will be moved on in the coming days.
