Rangers have completed the signing of Hull City goalkeeper Ivor Pandur, after the two clubs agreed a deal worth £6m with him penning a four-year deal in Scotland.
The deal was completed on Tuesday, with the money going some way to helping City ease any worries they had over breaching Financial Fair Play limits ahead of their Premier League return.
Pandur had been the subject of interest from Middlesbrough last season, but remained at the MKM Stadium to play a pivotal role in winning promotion to the top-flight.
Pandur’s departure is likely to spark a major flurry of transfer work over the next few weeks, with City eyeing up as many as 10 or 11 new signings in addition to Jack Butland’s arrival.
Last season’s number one played 45 times in the Championship, and kept three clean sheets in the play-offs to help the Tigers win promotion back to the top-flight with their 1-0 win at Wembley against Middlesbrough. In doing so, the 26-year-old became just the fourth goalkeeper in history to not concede a goal in all three play-off games.

The Croatian, who is currently away on World Cup duty, joined the Tigers from Fortuna Sittard in a £1.5m deal back in January 2024 and went on to play 92 times in all competitions, keeping 20 clean sheets.
He was also named the club’s Player, Players’ Player and Supporters’ Player of the Year at the end of the 2024/25 season when he helped keep City in the Championship.
“We would like to thank Ivor for his hard work, commitment and contribution during histwo-and-a-half-year spell at the MKM Stadium and wish him well for his future career,” City added in a statement.
Pandur’s exit for Ibrox will now see Butland complete his move from Glasgow to the MKM Stadium, with an announcement to follow in the next 24 hours.
City remain in discussions over Kyle Joseph’s move to Middlesbrough, while Enis Destan, David Akintola and Abu Kamara are also the subject of firm interest.
