Hull City forward Kyle Joseph is attracting growing interest from the Championship, with the club preparing for the potential of an offer to arrive in the coming days.
Despite reports suggesting Millwall have already tabled a £5m offer for Joseph, Hull Live has been told no bids have been made at this moment, however there has been a solid expression of interest from another Championship club, with at least one further suitor having made it known they are keeping an eye on the situation.
The 24-year-old missed the play-off final at Wembley having sustained an ankle injury in the play-off semi-final second-leg clash with Millwall, an injury which will keep him out of action until towards the end of pre-season. Two goals earlier in the season against the Lions will surely have captured Millwall’s attention and there is interest there, just not an offer at this stage according to sources.

One could materialise elsewhere soon, however, with our understanding being a club with realistic aims of pushing for promotion to the Premier League next season, are readying a move. The question for Joseph will be whether he wants to accept that challenge or try fight for his place at City next season among expected new arrivals.
A proposed £5m fee for a player City paid less than half that figure for 18 months ago would represent great value and also aid with the amortization value of the player.
As is well publicised, City need to do business this month to recoup at least £6m in transfer fees in order to meet financial regulations ahead of the June 30 deadline. The club are looking to move players out ahead of that deadline, but do not have to sell Joseph to do that and are not in a position, at this stage at least, where they have to rush and settle for the first deal that materialises.
David Akintola, Kasey Palmer, Abdus Omur, Abu Kamara and Mason Burstow are also known to have interest in them, with potential talks moving forward on at least one or two of those deals in the coming days. City remain calm to the impending financial situation and are letting matters progress naturally at this stage as Championship clubs and beyond consider their options and potential next steps.
