- Official Announcement Date: The Premier League has confirmed the full fixture list for the 2026/27 season will be unveiled on June 19. This date follows the established pattern of publishing the schedule in mid-June, approximately three to four weeks after the previous season’s conclusion.
- Announcement Time: The complete schedule will be released simultaneously on the official Premier League website, Hull City’s website and Hull Live at 10am. Fans can also access the full fixture list directly through the league’s official mobile application.
- The first round of televised match changes can be expected shortly after the initial release, usually by early July.
- Impact of the 2026 FIFA World Cup: The 2026/27 season will kick off one week later than normal (August 22) to allow for player recovery following the FIFA World Cup 2026 final in July. This change guarantees an 89-day break from the close of the previous domestic season, placing player welfare at the forefront amid an increasingly packed fixture calendar, reports the Mirror.
- Congestion Management: The fixture list will include 33 weekend rounds and five midweek rounds, strategically planned to prevent conflicts with the expanded UEFA club competition schedule. Furthermore, a “60-hour rule” continues to apply during the festive period, guaranteeing that no side will contest two fixtures within 60 hours of each other over Christmas and New Year.
