Hull FC will have two Leeds players in their line up on Sunday.
Davy Litten is backing Hull FC’s two loan players to come up trumps and add to Andy Last’s side at Bradford Bulls on Sunday afternoon.
The Black and Whites have acquired Jeremiah Mata’utia and Ethan O’Neill on loan for the next month, albeit parent club Leeds Rhinos have a recall option after one week.
Mata’utia, out of contract at the Rhinos come the end of the season, has already featured twice on loan for Hull off the bench, and has been good value. And Litten is backing O’Neill to follow suit and add something to the FC team, who saw Harry Newman recalled by the Rhinos ahead of their clash at Wigan Warriors this Friday night.
Last playing Super League in March, O’Neill will be raring to go and prove a point at Odsal, with Litten predicting the Australian back row forward to hit the ground running after making a good first impression at the club.
“Ethan was in training yesterday (Tuesday), and on Monday, and he’s a real good competitive player,” Litten told Hull Live. “The early signs are good. He really got stuck in.
“We’ve had Jerry for the last two games and even in the last game and despite what happened against Toulouse, he was a strong performer. That’s the biggest thing about these two boys: they want to play well.
“They’re coming to get game time and they want to show their club that they’re good enough to play in their team. That’s only a good thing for us. We’re going to get 110% effort from them, regardless, and that’s the main thing we want as a group of players.”
“This is a massive game coming up for us and we’re looking forward to having them two on board.”
