It’s difficult to picture the Hull skyline without the glass-and-steel presence of Princes Quay. Since its grand opening in 1991, it has served as a flagship city centre landmark, anchored firmly in the heart of the area’s retail identity.
While the shopping hub has seen major changes – most famously the 2007 conversion of the Top Deck from independent stalls into a 10-screen Vue cinema – the familiar layout remains a nostalgic constant for locals. However, the true evolution of Princes Quay lies in the storefronts that have flickered on and off over the decades.
