‘This is an exciting step forward for the business with HSBC UK funding playing a pivotal role’
A Beverley agricultural and haulage service business is set for UK expansion on the back of a seven-figure finance deal. Robinson Contract Services specialises in recycling of biosolids – organic materials derived from treated sewage sludge – and sustainable land management, and currently has a fleet of 40 lorries which carry out recycling services for water and farming industries.
The firm’s missions is to empower the water industry and agriculture with innovative, sustainable recycling solutions that can promote environmental awareness, as well as a brighter, more sustainable future. Now the family firm, which was founded in 1942, has sealed a deal from HSBC UK for a substantial seven-figure funding package.
It said it will tap into the funds to expand into new markets across the UK, with a focus on recycling, agricultural fertilisers and soil conditioners. As part of its expansion plans, the business has bought new machinery, boosting its capacity to treat non-compliant biosolids and making products available further afield for its farming customers.
Robinson Contract Services expects to acquire a further four Renault 8-wheelers with support from HSBC UK to help it meet increased demand. In completing the HSBC UK supported acquisition of the machinery, the company said it has safeguarded the future of 100 employees and estimates it will increase turnover by 15 per cent in 2026.
