Three Hull KR players charged after derby day clash with Hull FC

Three Robins have been charged after Friday’s derby with Hull FC.

Three Hull KR players have been charged by the RFL’s Match Review Panel following Good Friday’s derby match against Hull FC. They are Tom Amone, Peta Hiku, and Elliot Minichella.

Minchella’s is the most serious charge, with the Rovers loose-forward picking up a Grade B head contact after a hit on Hull forward Sam Lisone. He has also been fined.

Amone and Hiku have received Grade A charges for striking and a late contact on the passer. All three players are free to play in Saturday’s Challenge Cup quarter-final tie against York Knights.

The Robins trio are three of 14 charges handed out by the MRP, with one suspension given to Toulouse Olympique forward Joe Cator. The Hull-born player has been issued a two-match ban after being charged with a Grade D head contact offence. He has been handed 15 penalty points and has also been fined.

Elsewhere, Leigh Leopards trio Joe Ofahengaue, Louis Brogan, and Matt Davis have all been charged. Wigan’s Ethan Havard and St Helens’ Shane Wright have also been charged for Grade B offences. York’s Jesse Dee and Huddersfield’s Oliver Russell have been charged with Grade A offences, as have Castleford’s Jordan Lane and Catalans’ Kruise Leeming. Romain Navarrete has also been charged for a Grade B offence.
