A Hull branch of McDonald’s has been the subject of a “McMakeover”.
The Cottingham Road fast-food outlet, which is owned and operated by local franchisee George Michniewicz, has reopened after a “Convenience of the Future” redesign, the result of which promises to deliver a better customer experience for all. With consumers increasingly looking for greater speed, efficiency and choice when ordering their food, McDonald’s restaurant reimaging programme combines a new restaurant layout with the latest technology to create a more seamless and enjoyable experience for customers.
Improvements have been made for restaurant customers, with a redesign and upgrade of the dining area, which includes a new layout and a fresh front-counter design, creating a more enjoyable dining-in experience for customers. Mr Michniewicz said: “We’ve given our Hull, Cottingham Road restaurant a fresh new upgrade.
“The space now has a sleek, modern dining area, which means a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone. It’s amazing to see the transformation come to life and I am confident these changes will make a difference – not just for our customers, but for the crew too.”
While the traditional walk-in remains core to how customers order, the redesign of McDonald’s dining areas as part of the restaurant redesign will make smarter use of the internal space, therefore enhancing the dine-in experience, as well as allowing customers more space to enjoy their meal. Some of the key innovations that the McDonald’s will now include are a front counter redesign that has specific areas for different sales channels, meaning more space for customers to enjoy their meal, less congestion around touchscreens, and shorter queues.
Dining area upgrades also mean dine-in customers can enjoy their meal in the refreshed spaces.
