Cade Cust has been banned.

Hull FC spine player Cade Cust has been handed a one-match suspension from the RFL’s Match Review Panel and will miss Sunday’s Super League round six clash against Catalans Dragons.

The Australian, playing in the halves as Hull defeated Leeds 24-16 over the weekend, has been charged with a Grade C head contact offence and has subsequently been handed five penalty points. That is enough to put Cust in the threshold for a one-match ban, having picked up another point inside the last 12 months. Young half-back Callum Kemp is now set to get the nod alongside Jake Arthur in the absence of Aidan Sezer.

Cust is the only player suspended after this week’s Super League games. However, there are 14 other charges, including one for Hull teammate Lewis Martin. The winger has been charged for a Grade A late hit on the passer offence and has been handed one penalty point.

Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos full-back Lachie Miller has been charged for a Grade B late hit on the passer offence. He has been handed three penalty points and a fine.

Wigan Warriors prop Patrick Mago has also been charged for a Grade B head contact, with Wakefield front runner Ky Rodwell, Castleford’s Semi Valemi, Bradford’s Ryan Sutton, Huddersfield’s Asher O’Donnell, and Warrington’s Liam Bryne also cited for Grade B offences.
