Key Public Notices across Hull

  1. Hull Council Tax: Hull City Council has given notice of alterations to council tax bands for the 2026/27 financial year. The bands were set at the council’s annual budget meeting held on February 26. Read more.

Howdale Road Waiting Restrictions: Hull City Council has given notice of a new “No Waiting At Any Time” order for Howdale Road at its junctions with Moor Hall Drive, Linnet Drive, Kilton Court, Mallyan Close, and Lunedale Close. The restrictions come into operation on March 9, and hopes to prevent obstructive parking and improve road safety. Read more.
  3. New 20mph Speed Limit Proposals: Plans have been unveiled to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone across Beech Grove, Ash Grove, Brooklyn Street, and Vermont Street. Hull City Council aims to promote safer vehicle speeds in these residential areas. Residents have until March 22 to submit any representations or objections. Read more.
  4. Colliderfest: An order has been made to close High Street (from Scale Lane to 26 High Street), Chapel Lane, and Bishop Lane to vehicles for the Colliderfest arts and science festival. The closures will be in effect on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15. Read more.
