A disappointing result for Hull KR in Las Vegas.
Hull KR will be left hurting by their Las Vegas performance, defeated 58-6 by Leeds Rhinos at Allegiant Stadium. Brad Arthur’s side ran riot in the entertainment capital of the world, with 10 tries scored.
Here are our Hull KR player ratings after the Sin City contest, with nobody above a 4.
Jack Broadbent – 4: He’s set for a big role in Hull KR’s team following the injury to Arthur Mourgue, but no match for a charging Keenan Palasia close to the try-line. He’ll grow again in time with a run of games.
Tom Davies – 3: The usual dominant winger was no match for opposite number Maika Sivo, with the Leeds star scoring four in a player-of-the-match display.
Peta Hiku – 3: His 300th career appearance, but never got his foot in the game. A late shot from Sivo towards the end of the game left him stinging.
Oliver Gildart – 4: A couple of good defensive inputs, and delivered with the one rare chance he had with a slick step and pass for wing partner Burgess in the second half.
Joe Burgess – 4: Another who didn’t get much of an opportunity with ball in hand, until his consolation score on 65 minutes. His mistake just after that led to another Sivo try.
Mikey Lewis – 3: The livewire No.6. has delivered on the big stage for Hull KR across the last 12 months, but he was overshadowed by Jake Connor and Brodie Croft in Vegas.
Tyrone May – 3: A week after scoring 30 against Brisbane Broncos, Hull KR’s halves didn’t have the answers to unlock Leeds’ defence
Sauaso Sue – 3: His usual 20 minute stint before being interchanged, but among a pack that couldn’t make an impact against the Rhinos.
Jez Litten – 4: Among Hull KR’s best in the first half. Anything good that happened included him, with some dangerous short kicks and several darts out of nine. But ran out of steam in the second.
Tom Amone – 3: Had a debut to remember against Brisbane Broncos, but couldn’t inspire his new side to victory this time around.
Dean Hadley – 3: A remarkable comeback to play just a week after suffering a small fracture in his eye socket. But Leeds had Hull KR’s number on the day.
James Batchelor- 3: The usual influential back-rower couldn’t make his mark in Sin City.
Elliot Minchella – 3: He’s led his side to ultimate glory across the last 12 months, but last week clearly took it out of Willie Peters’ Rovers.
Sam Luckley – 3: Came on from the interchange bench and straight into action, but couldn’t add a punch with his side already heavily down.
Jai Whitbread – 2: Knocked on twice and had Brodie Croft get the better of him upon his entrance from the interchange bench. He’ll be disappointed with his performance.
Rhyse Martin – 3: On halfway through first half, moving Hadley to prop. But Hull KR never got going in attack.
Karl Lawton – 3: A stint at loose forward, making his second appearance in Las Vegas.
