Latest key updates on Hull City Council planning applications and decisions
- Hull City Council has received plans for a new car showroom building on Strickland Street. The proposed building would be built on an vacant area of land opposite Airkool. The application has been submitted The New Car Group Ltd. who currently have a car showroom on Swann Street.
- Plans for three new homes to be built on Walliker Street have been approved by Hull City Council. The homes are to be built on the land at the southern extent of the street. Initially, an application was submitted for six homes, but was revised down to three. Five trees are to be felled, with ten trees set to be planted on the site.
- Plans for alterations to The Bowery on Princes Avenue have been submitted to the council. The plans include new signage on the popular pub, which is owned by Marston’s PLC.
- The council has received outline plans for a new mixed-use residential and commercial development on Ferensway. The DBG Group – the developers behind the recently approved plans to convert the former Debenhams building into flats – are looking to further their role in the regeneration of the Ferensway area with a new six-storey development housing 164 new homes. The development would also include four commercial units and a roof terrace. The plans include the demolition of the former Circus Circus nightclub.
