His new adviser is working part-time and is being paid on a pro-rata basis
The salary of Luke Campbell’s new Special Adviser has been revealed by the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority. Mayor Campbell recently appointed former Tory MP, Lia Nici, to join his team.
Ms Nici represented Grimsby in Parliament from 2019 to 2024. She served as Conservative, but recently left the party to join Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.
She was one of three former Tory MPs who joined Reform in December. A Reform source confirmed to the Press Association that Jonathan Gulis and Chris Green had also joined, with the three joining “on their own accord online”
Just days after her new party affiliation was revealed, the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority confirmed Ms Nici had been appointed to serve as Mr Campbell’s Special Adviser. The Combined Authority has now revealed the salary range for the Special Adviser post to be £45,000 – £52,000 (full time equivalent). Ms Nici, however, is currently working on a part-time basis and is paid pro-rata.
