The owners of Willow Pastures Country Park said they are proud to represent East Yorkshire on a national stage

A family-run holiday park near Skirlaugh is celebrating after receiving a prestigious 20206 VisitEngland ROSE Award for its customer service. Willow Pastures, which offers more than 80 lodges at its site between Coniston and Skirlaugh, is one of only 100 accommodation providers in England to secure the mark for outstanding customer service.

It is one of only two parks in Yorkshire to feature on this year’s list which is decided following nominations from VisitEngland’s Quality Scheme assessors. Consideration is also given to assessor feedback, online guest reviews and evidence of steps the businesses take to create memorable stays.

Staff Willow Pastures say the award recognises the care and attention to detail that goes into creating the guest experience – including the welcome and standards maintained throughout their stay. Emily Cook, owner of Willow Pastures Country Park, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this national award. To be one of only 100 winners across England is a wonderful achievement, and to be recognised alongside some of the country’s leading accommodation providers makes it particularly special.

“This award belongs to our whole team. They work incredibly hard to make sure our guests feel welcomed, looked after and able to relax from the moment they arrive. What makes the ROSE Award especially meaningful is that it reflects both VisitEngland’s independent assessment and the experiences of our guests.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has taken the time to leave a review, recommend us or share their experience. We’re very proud to be representing East Yorkshire on a national stage and delighted to see the hard work of our team recognised in this way.”

The ROSE Award follows the launch of Willow Pastures’ spa lodge which features a private spa garden, sauna, cold plunge and hot tub. There is also the introduction of Little Willows, a family-focused programme to involve children in the outdoors and the park’s surrounding countryside.

VisitEngland director Andrew Stokes said: “The VisitEngland ROSE Awards showcase the excellent accommodation available across England. They honour the people behind the businesses who go out of their way to provide outstanding customer service, innovative options for all tastes and budgets and a great welcome for visitors.
