Mouzakitis has only seen a handful of minutes since joining Hull City on deadline day

Christos Mouzakitis offers something different to the rest of his teammates in the Hull City squad, says goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

The 19-year-old made the switch from Olympiacos to East Yorkshire on transfer deadline day earlier this month with chairman Acun Ilicali describing his addition as a gift to the City supporters.

However, the fans haven’t really had much of a glimpse of the Greece international so far, with his only game time so far coming off the bench in the Carabao Cup at Sunderland.

In the 30 minutes he had at the Stadium of Light, Mouzakitis did create an opportunity for himself but he couldn’t really have too much say on the contest.

He hasn’t been involved since and after being called up for the Greece national team alongside Tzolakis this week, he won’t have the international break to fully get himself settled at the MKM Stadium.

However, Tzolakis knows what the youngster is capable of having played alongside him at Olympiacos and he’s excited to see him given the opportunity to prove himself on the Premier League stage.

“I played with him in Greece and also in the national team,” Tzolakis said on the midfielder. “I know him very well and I’m very happy for him because it’s difficult from Olympiacos to go direct to the Premier League but we achieved that together. I’m waiting to play with him in a game now.

“He has a different style to other players because Crooksy and Regan played in the Championship. It’s obviously totally different from the Greek league.

“He doesn’t have the power but he is very good technically with his left foot, so it’s something different and if our manager wants something different then yes, he can do it.

“I’m trying to adapt him because he’s young. Also what I know is he found a house near to me so it’s perfect for him and for me because it’s the first time to go abroad so it will be difficult, probably not now in the winter with the cold here in England.”
