Exclusive: Hull FC have suspended prop forward Sam Lisone.

Hull FC prop forward Sam Lisone has been suspended and may yet leave the club pending an internal investigation. The 32-year-old missed the Black and Whites’ last game of the season at Leeds Rhinos last Friday night due to “personal reasons”, with Hull Live understanding that the prop has been suspended for an off field incident.

Lisone was signed on a two-year deal from Leeds ahead of the 2026 season. He played the club’s penultimate game of the year away at Toulouse Olympique and that match could now prove to be his last for the club.

Whether Lisone leaves Hull or not now sits on the outcome of the club’s investigation but it doesn’t look good for the prop-forward who may now be the latest player set for an end of season exit.

The front rower was restricted to just 14 appearances this year. The prop sustained a pec injury in April and underwent surgery, resulting in a four-month absence. He returned to the side in August and scored one try for the club.

Of course, Hull are making significant changes ahead of next year under incoming head coach Steve McNamara. They announced ten players would leave/have left the club last month, including the likes of Jake Arthur, Hugo Salabio, Ligi Sao, and Brad Fash, with Zak Hardaker since following suit.

As first reported by French media, Arthur Romano is also set for a departure, having ‘agreed a deal’ to return to Catalans Dragons to be closer to his young family.

Hull have confirmed seven new players for next year so far – Daly Cherry-Evans, Alrix Da Costa, Bailey Hodgson, Isaac Liu, Jordan Swann, Joshua Coric, and Junior Pauga – with more additions expected, including former Hull KR and current Goole Vikings outside back Connor Barley.
