A date for the diary.

Former Hull FC and Hull KR players will clash in a testimonial derby next month – in celebration of Brad Fash and Kris Welham.

Both players have celebrated testimonials in recent times after over ten years service to rugby league and will now see line-ups of former players come together for a unique derby meeting, to be played on Sunday 11 October.

Fash, who will depart Hull at the end of the 2026 season after 11 years in the first-team, will be joined by former teammates for the clash, while Welham, a KR star in Rovers’ early Super League years, will also see some ex-Robins line up alongside him for the game, which will also honour both players’ community rugby league clubs West Hull (Fash) and Myton Warriors (Welham).

Speaking on the testimonial event, Fash said: “A testimonial is a really meaningful opportunity to reflect on the people who have been part of your journey — teammates, coaches, staff, family and, above all, the supporters.

“To share the occasion with Kris, and to bring Hull FC and Hull KR connections together at Craven Park, will make it a special day. It is a rare chance for fans to see former favourites back on the pitch, enjoy the rivalry in a friendly setting and celebrate what rugby league means to Hull.”

Welham added: “The Hull derby has always been one of the biggest occasions in rugby league, and that is what makes this match so special

“Although it is a friendly, there will always be plenty of pride when former Hull FC and Hull KR players take to the field. It will be a great opportunity to look back on some brilliant memories, catch up with familiar faces and thank the supporters who have been part of our careers.”

Further announcements on former-player involvement and match-day activity will be made in the coming weeks.
