Hull KR are set to name a makeshift Super League outfit to take on St Helens with one eye already on next week’s play-off eliminator.
Willie Peters has made 14 changes to his squad, which includes the return of Mikey Lewis. The maverick half-back is set to captain a youthful outfit that could contain as many as eight debutants.
Declan Murphy could be in line for his first start at full-back for Hull KR following his move from Salford ahead of the 2026 season. The long-term prospect, who signed a three-year deal with the Robins, made his debut for the club last month when he came off the interchange bench against Wigan Warriors.
Harvey Horne and Frankie Dearlove also featured in that Round 25 contest to make their Super League debuts, and both could again be involved at the BrewDog Stadium this evening.
Bill Leyland, Sam Luckley, Lee Kershaw, Noah Booth, Louix Gorman, Jack Charles, Zach Fishwick and Alfie Woods could also be included after featuring at the Brick Community Stadium in August.
The back-row appears to be the area where Hull KR have the fewest options, with Cobie Wainhouse potentially stepping into the side.
Alfie Woods and Theo Middlemas are both capable of starting at loose forward, while outside-back Ryan Westerman could provide cover from the interchange bench.
Alfie Petty most recently featured in the front-row for the club’s reserves against Castleford Tigers, while Teo Ema came off the interchange bench in that fixture.
Peters has confirmed that Sauaso Sue will not play, despite being named in the extended 21-player squad.
Hull KR predicted team: Declan Murphy, Lee Kershaw, Noah Booth, Louix Gorman, Harvey Horne, Mikey Lewis, Jack Charles, Zach Fishwick, Bill Leyland, Sam Luckley, Frankie Dearlove, Cobie Wainhouse, Alfie Woods.
Bench: Theo Middlemas, Alfie Petty, Teo Ema, Ryan Westerman.
