The £500 grant will fund the minibus, allowing Senior Tigers Group members to attend monthly meetings at the MKM

Senior Hull City fans will be able to continue to have their voices heard as a minibus service to important supporter meetings has been given funding, allowing the fans who have supported the club for the longest to have their say. These older fans may otherwise not be able to attend the meetings due to mobility issues or lack of available transport. The club also provides community and reduces isolation for these older fans.

The accessible minibus service will be for members of Senior Tigers Group, who attend its monthly meetings at the MKM Stadium. The £500 funding will provide support over a ten-month period. The minibus provides a door-to-door service for older members who would otherwise be unable to attend due to mobility difficulties, lack of transport, or living in more remote areas.

Home Instead Charities, a UK charity dedicated to reducing isolation and loneliness in ageing adults has recently awarded the grant to the Senior Tigers Club. The club offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where members can socialise, enjoy guest speakers, take part in activities, and build meaningful friendships. The transport service supports up to 12 people and is essential in ensuring that everyone has equal access to these opportunities and can remain connected to their community.

Home Instead Charities is the charitable arm of Home Instead UK and raises money though fundraising by local Home Instead offices, donations and support from the wider Home Instead network. That funding is then distributed via grant programmes across charities, voluntary groups and grassroots organisation across the UK. The grant award was made possible by fundraising by the local Beverley and Hull office who undertook fundraising events and activities to enable the grant award to be made to support their community.

James Addy at Senior Tigers Club said: “We are grateful to everyone at Home Instead Beverley and Hull for all their support and to Home Instead Charities for making this happen. The grant will help us to continue with our activities supporting ageing adults in the heart of our community.”
