The Tigers are set to end the window with a flurry of activity

We’ve reached the last knockings of the summer transfer window and for Hull City, it’s been a busy one.
It had to be in truth, stepping up from the Championship to the Premier League and they’ve done some savvy business so far with 12 players coming through the door.
Eight of those players have featured during the opening two weekends of league action and as the campaign takes shape, they’ll be looking to have a big influence on City’s season.
However, City are still very much active in the transfer market as Tuesday night’s 11pm deadline approaches and it looks like a number of players could come and go over the next 30 hours, or so.
With that in mind, here’s how things stand for the Tigers.
Let’s start with one that we expect to be announced shortly. Ilyas Ansah is set to make the move to the MKM Stadium from Union Berlin, with the City agreeing terms with the player and the Bundesliga club.
It’s a move that significantly bolsters Sergej Jakirovic’s attacking numbers and the 21-year-old is highly thought of, too, having scored five goals for Union last season.
Another deal that is close to being done is the loan move for Robinio Vaz. The East Yorkshire club have agreed a season-long loan for the Roma striker, with the Tigers thought to have the option to sign him for around £25 million.
Vaz has only been with Roma since January, with the Italian giants digging deep to sign him from Marseille, but he will be allowed to leave and link up with the Premier League new boys and he’ll be keen to make his mark in English football, too.
He’s 19, but at 6’1” he’s a presence and City see this one as a real coup.
Another deal that looks likely to happen at this point is the addition of Josha Vagnoman. The Tigers have agreed a deal with Stuttgart for the right-back and unless something changes that one looks likely to happen as City finally strengthen their options on the right-side of defence.
Sorba Thomas is one that the Tigers are working on entering into the final day of the window. The Wales international is thought to be keen on the move to the MKM Stadium and City are thought to have agreed a deal after making an improved bid for his services.
The hold up appears to be whether Stoke City can find a replacement before the deadline with the club harbouring an interest in the services of Liam Millar.
Thomas can play in a number of positions, including on the left wing, which is a position City have been linked with a raft of players in. Approaches for Jean Matteo-Bahoya and Malick Fofana has been made over the past few days but those deals won’t be happening now. Thomas may fit that bill for City ultimately, but that remains to be seen.
The Tigers continue to be linked with midfielders and Dario Essugo, Richard Rios and Youssouf Fofana are three that have been linked in the last day, with Essugo being one City are known to be admirers of.
Tim Iroegbunam is a name that cannot be ruled out, given how close he came to joining Hull before the injury he picked up in pre-season.
Fabio Carvalho is one to keep an eye on as well. City are keen to bring the attacking midfielder back to the club for a second loan spell and talks over a move from Brentford remain active on both sides.
In regards to outgoings, the club are keen to offload a number of players who seemingly won’t be involved in their 25-man Premier League squad. Sergej Jakirovic has already confirmed that City are looking to find a loan club for Kieran Dowell, while Abdus Omur reportedly has interest from Erzurumspor in Türkiye.
David Akintola and Matty Jacob are deemed to be surplus to requirements, while Oscar Zambrano could leave on loan, too, despite joining the club in the summer.
Millar could be the most high profile departure seemingly, with Stoke and Birmingham City known to the two of the clubs interested in his signing.
Vagnoman’s addition might have a knock on effect on Cody Drameh’s standing at the club but that remains to be seen.
