A new and authentic Country music festival makes its debut in East Yorkshire next month. Running from Friday to Sunday, September 18 to 21, the Country and Western Weekender is to take place at Skirlington Coast.
The event is being delivered at the east coast site, nestled on the cliffs between Bridlington and Hornsea, by Unity Holidays. Whether you are a seasoned line dancer or just love good music and great vibes, this weekender brings all the festival atmosphere in one action-packed weekend.
Three nights of live music, featuring the likes of Adam Harding and His Band, and Garth Brooks’ tribute, Blame It All On My Roots, is supplemented by a wide choice of daytime activities, including line dancing, full Western dress-up, a trading village and fast-draw competitions. There are all the usual fun activities at the park to enjoy too, with indoor and outdoor pools, an on-site pub/restaurant and fish and chips.
The music is what the weekend is all about, and in Adam Harding and His Band, guests will be able to enjoy a third-generation Country musician, carrying on the legacy of his father and grandfather. With deep roots in Country music, he delivers the classics of George Jones to the modern hits of Luke Combs, as well as a sprinkling of his own original tracks.
Blame It All On My Roots – the Ultimate Garth Brooks experience, showcases the music of the Country legend who has sold more than 150 million albums worldwide. Whether you are a lifelong Brooks fan or discovering his music for the first time, Blame It All on My Roots promises a night of unforgettable entertainment, capturing the heart and soul of one of the most prolific artists in history.
Also performing live across the weekend are the likes of Annalee West, Trey Jackson, Bob Keeley, Amy Morgan, Broadcaster Duo and Spread Your Wings. Caravans, sleeping up to six people, are available to book, while those who want to bring their own tourers can do so. Regardless of what accommodation you choose, you will have free access to all the live music and entertainment.
