The Tigers would see the addition of Vaz as a real coup

Hull City are closing in a deal to sign Roma forward Robinio Vaz before the end of the summer transfer window.
Hull Live understands that a move for Vaz is close to be being completed with the 19-year-old on the verge of making the switch from Serie A to the MKM Stadium on a season-long loan deal.
City would pay a small loan fee, but the understanding is that the agreement includes an option to make the move permanent next year with a five-year contract on the table should City opt to sign him up at the end of his loan. As per The Athletic, that fee is thought to be around €30 million.
The Tigers have recently moved on from interest in the likes of Pablo Garcia and Yeremay Hernandez and they see the addition of Vaz as a real coup, if they can wrap it up.
The forward, who is a current France Under-20 international, joined Roma in January from Marseille for a fee reported to be around €25m.
Since then, he has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Roma with his only goal coming off the bench in a win over Lecce in March. Each of his 12 Serie A appearances came off the bench under Gian Piero Gasperini.
Vaz started his career with Sochaux, with the striker making five appearances for their second string outfit before joining Marseille in 2024. He made 22 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit and bagged four goals.
At 6’1”, Vaz is a presence at the top end of the field with his pace and pressing ability considered to be strengths.
Should the deal be completed, Vaz can be expected to follow Mohamed Ali-Cho and Ilyas Ansah through the door at the MKM Stadium, with City in the process of finalising moves for the pair.
