Joe Burgess’ Hull KR future is under consideration amid reported interest – but Hull Live understands no deal has been agreed.
There have been reports that the England international winger has signed a deal with Catalans Dragons for 2027 and beyond.
However, Hull Live understands no agreement has been reached with the French outfit, although the Robins are exploring the possibility of a transfer.
Burgess could yet remain at Sewell Group Craven Park, with the winger currently contracted until the end of 2027 after signing a contract extension earlier this year.
He joined Hull KR ahead of the 2024 season and has since scored 64 tries in 72 appearances to date.
Burgess enjoyed a career-best campaign in 2025, playing a key role in the treble-winning squad. His form also earned him an England recall for the first time in 10 years, as he featured in the home Ashes series.
He was later on the scoresheet in the historic 30-24 World Club Challenge victory over Brisbane Broncos in February.
In total, Burgess has scored 194 tries in 225 appearances, alongside a short stint in the NRL with Sydney Roosters and South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Elsewhere, Hull KR are looking at back row options with Rhyse Martin departing at the end of the season after representing Papua New Guinea at the Rugby League World Cup. He is set to link up with Willie Peters at the PNG Chiefs as the club’s football operations manager.
The club are exploring options for the back-rower’s replacement for 2027 and beyond.
Experienced prop Sauaso Sue recently signed a new one-year extension for 2027, while no other high-profile player is currently off-contract in the squad.
