A man suffered “life-threatening injuries” in a motorcycle crash on a rural East Yorkshire road, police say. At around 10.55am on Sunday (August 16), a Honda motorcycle was being ridden southbound on Allison Lane, Ulrome, when “for reasons that are still unknown” it left the road and crashed into a tree.
When emergency services attended, a 48-year-old rider was “taken to hospital for treatment to life-threatening injuries”. The B1242 was closed for some time following the incident and motorists were urged to avoid the area.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage, or has any other information about the incident, is urged to please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 170 of the 16 August.”
