A fire service has asked people to only call in a “genuine” emergency as it battles a large blaze on an industrial estate.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said multiple crews were tackling the fire on Reservoir Road in Hull, which began at about 19:10 BST.
Humberside Police said Reservoir Road was closed and also advised motorists to avoid nearby Clough Road and use alternative routes.
On social media, residents reported seeing and smelling smoke from several miles away.
