A woman is being treated in hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a quad bike crash in an East Yorkshire village.
The 39-year-old woman was taken to hospital after the quad bike she was driving tipped over on the B1230 in the rural village of Newport. It is understood that several members of the public got out of their cars to help the woman, giving first aid before the emergency services arrived on the scene.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident, and say she was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A Humberside Police spokesman said: “Officers were in attendance following reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision on Mains Road in Newport yesterday afternoon, Monday, 10 August. It was reported at around 3.30pm, a quad bike has tipped over for reasons that are still unknown.
“Emergency services attended and the driver, a 39-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not considered to be life changing.
“If you witnessed the collision, have dashcam footage from around the time of the incident, or have any information that could assist our investigation, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 26*112904.”
