Litten will leave Hull FC at the end of the season

Hull FC centre Davy Litten will be joining Wakefield Trinity in 2027 after putting pen to paper on a long-term deal with the West Yorkshire club.
Litten, who emerged through the academy ranks at Hull, has penned a four-year deal with Daryl Powell’s side with Wakefield paying a significant six-figure transfer fee to the Black and Whites.
It comes after a transfer request was made by Litten following the initial approach by Wakefield, who enquired about St Helens’ Harry Robertson before diverting their attention to Litten.
Litten has made 68 appearances for his boyhood club since making debut in black and white in 2022, with the centre touching down on 25 occasions.
He leaves the club in order to join the Trin, who currently find themselves pushing to reach a Super League Grand Final for the very first time. Wakefield are third right now and with five games remaining they are well and truly in the mix at the top end of the table.
He will be joining a side that is full of young British talent, with the likes of Oliver Pratt and Jayden Myers excelling in the outside backs.
Wakefield have also signed NRL legend Roger Tuivasa-Sheck for 2027, ensuring Litten will be working with an icon of the game.
Looking ahead to the future, Litten told Wakefield: “I’m grateful to be signing for such a great club, the opportunity is something which really excites me and I can’t wait to get started in 2027.
“As a player you can see where the club is going on and off the field and it really impresses me. I can’t wait for the next 4 years.”
Wakefield head coach Powell added: “I am delighted we have been able to sign Davy Litten from next season.
“He will become part of one of the youngest and most exciting back lines in the competition. He is young and driven, I love his physicality and will to win and we feel he will become one of the premier backline players over the coming years.”
Confirming his exit from the Black and Whites, FC wrote: “Everyone at Hull FC would like to wish Davy the best of luck for his future in the sport, and hopes to see him finish his time at the club in 2026 on a positive note over the coming weeks.”
