Enis Destan has set himself a modest goals target as he looks to make his mark in the Premier League with Hull City after being given fresh hope of an opportunity in England’s top-flight, and wants the Tigers to establish themselves at the top table rather than just be temporary visitors.
The Turkish striker is back in the fold at the MKM Stadium after ending last term on loan at Westerlo, though his spell in Belgium was hampered by injury and he made just three appearances.
Destan has been given a chance to impress boss Sergej Jakirovic during pre-season, and scored his first goal in the win over Konyaspor out in Slovenia.

City believe the big frontman can have an impact this season, and though he’s likely to play second fiddle to star man Oli McBurnie, his impact from the bench could be a useful asset for the Tigers, who will need all the help they can get in front of goal.
The 24-year-old says five would be a realistic target across the campaign, provided he’s given a chance in the City side, which could see him return to the Turkish international fold and eventually make his debut.
“First of all, we are very happy about the promotion to the Premier League. Our goal this season is, of course, to stay up. In the coming years, we want to establish ourselves permanently in the Premier League and raise our ambitions even further,” he said.
“I always think from season to season. This season, I want to get more playing time and score goals. Like every Turkish footballer, I also have the goal of playing for the national team. I want to make that dream a reality. Every year I set myself a goal target. I haven’t set a final number yet, but I’m aiming for at least five goals. I hope I can achieve that goal. At least five goals would be a really good result for me.”
