True to his word, Hull City owner Acun Ilicali has delivered another of his social media transfer updates. Last month the City chairman took to X to provide an update to supporters on where the Tigers were with their transfer business.
Ilicali listed 11 flags to represent the country of each player, adding a percentage next to each flag to suggest where the club were at in terms of the deals to get them signed.
In the case of Konstantinos Tzolakis and Hidemasa Morita those deals have now been completed, with a number of other signings imminent as City await visa clearance to allow them to confirm the signature of Senegal defender Nobel Mendy. Meanwhile, Jens Hjertø-Dahl has arrived for his medical and Elliot Stroud is inbound after confirming last night he had played his final game for Swedish side Mjällby.
As revealed this morning, Leon Bailey is all set to have a medical over the next 24 hours after a breakthrough in contract talks, with Lucas Herrington another on the verge of being announced.
Ilicali has confirmed as much in his latest social media update, which replicates the same structure as before with a flag next to an update on where the deals are at.
The City owner put a tick to suggest deals were done next to six flags, with those deals understood to be for the players listed above. He also also listed eight other unknown players at varying degrees of being signed, rating them from 90 percent through to just 30 percent.
One of the key players of interest is the unknown Spanish player, who Ilicali says is only 50 percent of the way done. Hull Live understands that to be former Spain Under-21 international and current Deportivo La Coruna winger Yeremay Hernández. City are believed to have put a first offer into the Spanish side for the 23-year-old, who came through Real Madrid’s academy.
Deportivo are understood to not want to lose a player who is attracting interest from a number of sides on the continent, but City are very keen to try and land the player, with a second bid likely to follow.
Hull Live has listed below who we believe the rest of Ilicali’s players listed are, with Everton’s defensive midfielder Tim Iroegbunam and Germany UInder-21 international Mert Kömür among them. If they were to all come off, City would complete deals for a staggering 18 players this summer.
