Scott Taylor is to return to Hull FC for the 2027 season as part of the new-look coaching team under incoming head coach Steve McNamara.
Taylor twice won the Challenge Cup with Hull in 2016 and 2017 as a player during his eight seasons with the Airlie Birds, in which he played 178 games for them.
Since retiring three years ago, the former England prop has had his first full-time coaching role as head coach of new Championship club Goole Vikings.
“I’m incredibly excited to work with Steve in 2027 and beyond – we have known each other a long time and he is someone I have always admired as a coach,” he told the club’s website., external
“He was a huge factor in my decision to take the next step in my coaching career and return home to Hull.”
Hull are 13th in the Super League table and have suffered seven straight defeats under interim head coach Andy Last.
