Business partners in Beverley are making huge strides in their new venture – they’re celebrating two huge award wins. We told earlier this year how healthcare specialists Deborah Marshall and Lucie Jones decided to launch their own footcare clinic in the town, having spent years driving around the area offering mobile treatments to clients in their homes.
Foot Health and Wellness Clinic Ltd opened to great fanfare in St Mary’s Court, North Bar Within, after the pair created a luxury spa-style setting where customers can sit back and relax in three treatment rooms. They offer everything from ingrown toenail and verruca treatments to wellness injections such as vitamin B12, biotin for healthy hair, skin and nails, vitamin D and NAD+ injections and IV infusions.
Other health and wellness services include skin tags, cherry angioma and benign lesion removal as well as all the latest facials, microneedling, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion and mesotherapy. And their work is certainly catching the eyes of judges, after winning no less than three awards in quick succession.
Having already won the Yorkshire Prestige Award for New Foothealth Clinic of the Year, 2026-2027, they are now adding to the trophy cabinet with Best New Business Award.
And they have now also been named Best Wellness Clinic in the Yorkshire heat of this year’s Englands Business Awards, scooping the Health & Wellbeing trophy . They will now go forward to the national grand final.
Deborah, 53, said: “Winning these awards is a huge achievement for our team and reflects our continued commitment to providing exceptional foot health and wellness care to our local community. As a growing independent clinic, it’s incredibly rewarding to have our hard work recognised.
“Since opening our doors, our mission has been simple: to provide exceptional care in a welcoming, friendly environment where every patient feels valued. To have that recognised with this award is truly humbling.”
Deborah, who is from Beverley, said she and Lucie launched the clinic to continue services that doctors can no longer offer, such as diabetic foot care, explaining how “doctors did used to do it and the need hasn’t gone away, just the services have”.
Five star reviews are also continuing to roll in – with some received from secret shoppers who are believed to have stepped into the shopping arcade clinic.
Following the opening, Deborah said: “They just basically said we’ve nailed it and we’re doing brilliantly. And we’ve got a friendly and clean environment – it’s not like walking into a clinical surgery, we’ve got a bit of music playing and we’re really approachable and friendly.
“It’s the nice little comments that you get – which you don’t look for – that make you feel like you’re doing a good job and a job worthwhile.”
The qualified practitioners invested significantly in all the equipment need. They were also given business support by Invest East Yorkshire, who helped them to tap into available grants and loans.
Deborah added: “Rather than going feet first into the business we wanted to take some advice from someone who knows.”
Foot Health & Wellness Clinic is currently open Tuesday to Saturday, and is also home to nail technician Ance Belova.
