Following on from the success of Pride in Hull 2026 this weekend, Beverley is gearing up for its biggest pride event yet. If you’re still wanting to show up and celebrate Pride, which hails love, community and inclusivity for all, there will be more entertainment, community spirit and reasons to celebrate in Beverley on Saturday 8 August.
Beverley Pride is back for its fourth annual event, returning to Flemingate, where thousands of people are expected to come together for a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion and community. Following the success of last year’s event, Beverley Pride will bring its colourful, grassroots celebration right into the heart of the town.
The event has grown year on year, and 2026 is described by organisers as the “biggest yet”, with more performers, more stalls, more entertainment and even more opportunities for the community to come together in celebration. Before the main event begins, Beverley will once again know that Pride has arrived. From 11am, the Hull NHS Choir will fill Saturday Market with music, rainbow flags and plenty of smiles as they perform beneath the Market Cross before leading the walk across town to Flemingate, officially launching Beverley Pride 2026.
The main event begins at 12 noon, hosted by the fabulous Queen Margarita, the popular bearded drag queen and ‘hostess with the mostess’, who will guide audiences through an exciting afternoon packed with live music, drag performances, entertainment and burlesque.
New for 2026 is the Buskers Stage, located between Starbucks and Jump Inc at Flemingate and hosted by local favourite Stevie Mould, showcasing local musicians and performers throughout the day. Visitors can also enjoy a bustling community atmosphere featuring more stalls, family activities, badge making, community groups, delicious food and drink, alongside a dedicated quiet space to ensure Beverley Pride remains welcoming and accessible for everyone.
Whether you’re coming with friends, family or on your own, everyone is invited. The celebrations continue into the evening as the official After Party begins from 5pm at Firepit, Flemingate, hosted by Drag King Justin Drag. The evening line-up features a full live band, the return of the hugely popular DRAGATHON, showcasing multiple drag artists throughout the evening, alongside special guest performers and an exciting burlesque showcase presented by the House of Royale. Chairperson Lucy Thompson said: “We’re so proud to be bringing Pride back to Flemingate for a second year. Being right in the heart of Beverley makes the event so visible, welcoming and accessible, allowing everyone to be part of the celebrations.”

Behind the scenes, Beverley Pride continues to be organised entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers. This year’s event has only been made possible thanks to an overwhelming level of support from local businesses, organisations and funding partners who have come together to help create a completely free event for the community.
Lucy said the support has left the team “overwhelmed”. “The number of businesses wanting to stand alongside Beverley Pride has been incredible. Their generosity, alongside the countless hours given by our volunteer committee, is what allows us to deliver a free, safe and inclusive event for our town. Quite simply, Beverley Pride wouldn’t happen without them.”
For the first time, Beverley Pride has also received funding support from Beverley Town Council, Sewell on the go’s Co-op Pride Pot, and Do It For East Yorkshire, helping ensure the event remains free and accessible for all. Visitors can also take advantage of the Pride Perks initiative. When visitors buy a Beverley Pride wristband from the Beverley Pride stall during the event, they will receive exclusive offers and discounts from a range of participating businesses across Beverley, helping spread Pride throughout the town while encouraging people to support local independent businesses. A full list of participating businesses will be provided with every wristband purchased.
Beverley Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday 8 August, with celebrations beginning at 11am in Saturday Market, before the main event runs from 12 noon until 5pm at Flemingate, followed by the official After Party at Firepit from 5pm onwards.
