Some horrendous court cases have been featured during June, including a long prison sentence of 21 years given to a nasty sex offender who raped a woman during an “utterly terrifying experience”. In another case, an opportunist predator who took advantage of a woman and tried to rape her after a night out was also jailed.
Other cases include that of an “irate” and “ranting” neighbour, who threatened to stab and “delete” an 81-year-old woman, and an ex-police worker who was helped by his teacher boyfriend in serious sexual offences. The past few weeks have also seen drug dealers, a woman who assaulted two police officers, a “career criminal” and a burglar all sent down.
These are some of the cases that have been featured at Hull Crown Court, or in a couple of them, at Grimsby Crown Court, during June.
