Campaign of action highlights impacts on victims and communities

A week of action to highlight the impact anti-social behaviour (ASB) has on victims and communities is to return to Hull later this month
- Not Where I Live Week (NWILW) supports national efforts to address ASB during ASB Awareness Week 2026. Running from June 29 to July 5, the Safer Hull Community Safety Partnership will work with partners to send the message that everyone has a role in tackling ASB.
- Led by Hull City Council’s Neighbourhood Nuisance Team, the week is supported by many other organisations, such as Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.
- The Safer Hull Community Safety Partnership will hold surgeries, patch walks and engagement events across the week as well as promoting information via its communication channels.
- Councillor Ted Dolman, Hull’s portfolio holder for communities and community safety, said: “We’re committed to tackling anti-social behaviour, and Not Where I Live Week provides a great opportunity to raise awareness of how to report ASB where it becomes a problem. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and in their neighbourhood, and we want communities to work with us so that we can try to prevent ASB before it escalates. Through schemes like our Crime Prevention Fund, we’re engaging, enabling and empowering people to develop community safety solutions in their own areas. We’ve also recently signed The PLEDGE from ASB Help, which further demonstrates a commitment to taking ASB seriously.”
- Activities taking place during the week include patch walks; letter-drops and door-knocks; bike marking and crime prevention; stalls; surgeries on hate awareness. You can find a full list of what is taking place in north, east and west Hull, on the city council website.
- Residents can report anti-social behaviour to Hull City Council online.
