The Black and Whites have offered a number of players to other Super League clubs
Hull FC duo Cade Cust and Aidan Sezer.
Playmaker Cade Cust has been added to the list of players Hull FC are willing to let leave as they ready themselves for the arrival of Steve McNamara.
As reported by Hull Live last month, Aidan Sezer is not expected to be at the MKM Stadium next year and his services have been offered to other Super League clubs. Ed Chamberlain has also been made available, as first reported by Love Rugby League, with the centre spending the season on loan at Bradford Bulls.
However, it understood that Cust is another name who has seen his name circulated among clubs in Super League, with the Australian facing an uncertain future at Hull.
The versatile half-back/hooker is contracted until the end of the 2028 Super League season after penning a contract extension with Hull back in August last year. That new deal came towards the end of impressive first campaign with the Black and Whites in which he made 28 appearances and scored seven tries.
He’s played a slightly different role this time around, spending more time at hooker than in the pivots, and while he hasn’t caught the eye quite as much, he has scored five tries in 14 games.
Hull are thought to be willing to move on from the 27-year-old, though, especially with Alrix Da Costa set to arrive at the club from next season and Amir Bourouh being tied down for another year.
The Black and Whites also have youngster Will Hutchinson, who remains highly thought of as he continues his progression, while Denive Balmforth’s future at the club is in doubt too at this stage.
Offloading Cust would also open up a valuable overseas spot, which could come in handy as McNamara looks to make his mark on the squad.
As reported by Hull Live, the Black and Whites have launched a move for Fiji international Suliasi Vunivalu and he isn’t the only man of interest as they push to give McNamara the tools he needs to help the club take the next step in 2027.
