The Match Review Panel have charged seven men this week
A total of seven Super League players have been charged by the RFL’s Match Review Panel but none have been banned.
Hull FC loan man Jeremiah Mata’utia and Chris Patolo of Huddersfield Giants have been handed the most severe punishments this week with the pair given Grade B charges.
Mata’utia has earned himself three disciplinary points and a fine for his Grade B late contact on the passer, while Patolo has been handed the same punishment for his head contact charge.
George Lawler will be walking a disciplinary tightrope from here on in, with the Castleford Tigers man being handed another point to take him to 4.75 points over the last 12 months. He’ll take just 0.25 forward from that Grade A head contact charge, though, which is enough to leave him on four points and in danger of a ban should he commit another offence any time soon.
Warrington Wolves’ James Harrison has been handed a Grade A late contact on passer, while St Helens new boy Daniel Suluka-Fifita and Catalans Dragons back-rower Ben Condon have received the same for their actions against Huddersfield and Bradford respectively.
Toulouse Olympique’s Ethan Quai-Ward is the seventh and final man charged with the Australian being hit with a Grade A dangerous throw/lift sanction.
