Hull City continue to have their name attached to a host of potential new recruits, with Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope the latest name thrown into the mix.
City will expect to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer to challenge Ivor Pandur and Dillon Phillips, and according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Magpies stopper is attracting interest from the Tigers.
Pope, who was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the World Cup, faces an uncertain future at St James’ Park, with Leeds United and managerless Ipswich Town also said to be interested in the 34-year-old.
The former Burnley man is reportedly available for around £10m, with United chief Eddie Howe keen to freshen up his squad after a disappointing Premier League campaign.
Newcastle have already signed 20-year-old Ewen Jaouen in an £18.5m deal from French second division side Stade de Reims, while Aaron Ramsdale’s loan from Southampton has ended. Ramsdale is another goalkeeper expected to be on the move this summer.

The same website also credits the Tigers with interest in Luca Pellegrini. The Lazio left-back is said to have had ‘direct discussions’ with the newly-promoted East Yorkshire club. Twenty-seven-year-old Pellegrini is under contract at the Stadio Olympico until next summer, and could leave following the departure of boss Maurizio Sarri.
It’s also being reported that the Tigers have lodged a bid for USA Under-21 international Rokas Pukstas. The Hajduk Split midfielder is a player identified by Sergej Jakirovic as somebody capable of making the step up into the Premier League.
City, meanwhile, continues to work on deals to move out fringe players before the end of the month to ensure they remain on the right side of Financial Fair Play (FFP).
