Best friends Sienna Sutton and Grace Hubbard are set to appear in the 2027 Kids World Records book after holding a pose called the ‘Fish on a Rock’ for over eight minutes.

A pair of nine-year-old schoolgirls have become Hull’s newest world record holders.
Sienna Sutton and Grace Hubbard, from Keyingham, gained acclaim from Kids World Records for holding the ‘Fish on a Rock’ pose for over eight minutes. The girls were “over the moon” to break the World Record, and will now appear in the 2027 Kids World Records book.
Nicole Mellows, mum to Sienna, said: “They’ve always been interested in records and watching videos of challenges. They were in the living room the other day and they decided to try to get in the book.
“They came up with their own pose. It’s not in the book yet, and we weren’t sure what it was called. The Kids World Record people told us what it was called. It’s never been done before.”
The ‘Fish on a Rock’ pose was created by Grace supporting herself on her hands and knees – the ‘rock’ – while Sienna lay across Grace’s back – the ‘fish’. The girls were told they had to hold the pose for at least five minutes. They officially managed eight minutes and 27 seconds, but their mums say they could’ve gone on for longer if they’d wanted to.
Grace and Sienna have been friends since they were babies. They both go to Keyingham Primary School and enjoy going to cheerleading and dance classes in their spare time.
Grace’s mum Jodi Hubbard said: “They’ve known each other from birth because me and Nicole are best friends. They are constantly watching different videos and challenges and are very interested in stuff like that. They like to do anything: cheer, dance, and are both really creative and into animals.”
And the pair already have intentions to break more records, starting this weekend. When they get together on Saturday they are going to attempt some more. Their mums say they were “absolutely over the moon” to have broken the record. The families are now looking forward to 2027, when the next Kids World Records book comes out.
