Hull City will be looking to strengthen Sergej Jakirovic’s squad and a Uruguay Under-20 forward has been linked

Hull City have been linked with rising striking star Alvaro Rodriguez.
According to website TEAMtalk, the Tigers are showing ‘strong interest’ in the 21-year-old, as are Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
Indeed the Elche forward is claimed to have caught the eye of clubs across Europe, with Celtic previously linked but now claimed to be priced out of a move.
PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord are also claimed to be watching a youngster who came through at Real Madrid before being sold to Elche last summer.

Rodriguez was recruited from Girona as a teenager and went on to make ten appearances for Real, scored in the Madrid derby and was then loaned to Getafe.
Real allowed him to move to Elche for €2million in July 2025 but inserted a 50 per cent sell-on clause, meaning they will be watching developments with interest.
After seven goals in 34 La Liga appearances he is now being spoken of in terms of being at least worth €22m, with his skillset and burgeoning interest. The report claims City have him ‘among their potential targets’.
When they announced his signing last summer Elche did not underplay his potential, describing the left-footed striker has having ‘commanding presence, physical strength, and excellent aerial ability, tireless pressing, link-up play, and nose for goal’.
Despite being born in Spain he has most recently played age group international football for Uruguay.
After promotion to the Premier League City will be looking to add depth and quality to Sergej Jakirovic’s squad with Oli McBurnie shouldering the goal-scoring burden last season, supported by Kyle Joseph and second striker Joe Gelhardt.
