Newly-promoted Hull City have been linked with another player as the rumour-mill continues to press on ahead of the transfer window thrusting open its doors on Monday.
Greek defender Dimitris Giannoulis is the latest name to be linked with a move to the MKM Stadium, as speculation grows about his future.
A former Norwich City defender, the 30-year-old left back plies his trade in Germany with FC Augsburg, but has been attracting the interest of the Tigers’ rivals Coventry City, Greek giants Olympiacos and POAK, with it suggested the player is keen on returning to Greece and not in favour of a move back to England after spending three and a half seasons at Carrow Road.
Reports in Greece have claimed that Giannoulis has turned down a return to the Premier League with the newly-promoted Sky Blues, but hasn’t yet rejected the Tigers, who won promotion at Wembley last month and are looking to bolster their ranks in all areas ahead of the big kick-off in August.

Last term, Giannoulis played 27 times in the Bundesliga, scoring twice and claiming five assists, and is now set for a move away from Germany. Across his two seasons in Germany, the 34-cap Greek international has played 59 times.
The report claims Augsburg want close to 5m euros for the player who is under contract for another two years, and they also suggest the experienced defender is the leading candidate to come in and provide competition to Ryan Giles on the left side of defence. They also say the Tigers are eyeing a move for Olympiacos’ 23-year-old goalkeeper Konstas Tzolakis, though he’s been linked with Arsenal in recent times.
