Hull FC face Warrington Wolves this Friday night. Follow it here.
Hull FC head back over the Pennines this Friday night, taking on Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. Looking to end a run of three successive defeats, the Black and Whites, without 14 players, have it all to do against an opponent sat second in the table and gunning for a high finish.
Boosted by the return of Herman Ese’ese, it’s another tough task for Hull and Andy Last, who will be written off by just about everyone, but within that comes their motivation, with the interim coach setting his side’s own focuses as the underdog – a tag they relish and will need to relish in abundance tonight.
For Last, it’s all about Hull’s attack, with the challenge set for Aidan Sezer, returning to the side this evening, and co. Can they deliver? That’s the big question, but in Super League, stranger things have happened. As always, we’ll be there every step of the way, with team news, build up, live action, and post-match reaction to come.
Herman is fit and ready. He has ticked off the boxes that he needs to. We’re looking forward to him playing and we’re expecting a big impact from him. It’s been a long time since he has laced up the boots and pulled on a Black and White jersey. He’s really keen to get out there and help the boys with their performance. The stature that he has within our group is huge so it’s going to be exciting to see Herman go.
Herman Ese’ese is set for his first run out of the season – full feature
“For us as a team, it’s about our effort areas – that’s what Andy has put a massive emphasis on: our effort on kick chases, kick pressures, scraps, and just fighting for everything. I think that’s a great foundation to have as a rugby player.”
“We’ve got nothing to lose. Everyone thinks we’re going to get hammered, so it’ll be great for the boys to actually go out there and put in a strong performance and make everyone eat their words.”
Andy Last on tonight’s game.
Another Friday crawling along the M62. Safe travels to all heading across.
Kick off is 8pm.
