Latest Hull and East Riding planning decisions and applications
- East Riding Council has received plans for the change of use of an office space in Beverley town centre. The plans would see Ladygate House, on Ladygate, become rental accommodation for visitors to the town. The application seeks permission to turn the site into two apartments.
- Hull City Council has received a listed building consent application seeking permission to repair and stabilise the Grade II listed former Trinity Buoy Shed. The building is set to be part of the major East Bank Urban Village project along the River Hull. Submitted plans say the building “is generally structurally unstable with the wall to the water’s edge pulling away from the remaining structure, with large cracks appearing on adjacent walls.”
- Hull City Council has approved plans to replace a ‘dilapidated’ shop front on Hessle Road. The approved application sought permission to “remove the existing angled and visually harmful frontage and replace it with a well proportioned, traditionally inspired shopfront aligned with the building façade,” at 408 Hessle Road.
- East Riding Council has received plans to transform a section of agricultural land into four padel courts. The proposals would see a section of Molescroft Farm, just north of Beverley becoming a facility for the popular racquet sport. The application also includes a new car park at the site.
