The Tigers’ owner has something special in store for his team if they secure promotion

Acun Ilicali says he will reward his Hull City players with a trip to Las Vegas if they secure promotion to the Premier League over the next few weeks.

City finished sixth in the Championship after a dramatic 2-1 win over Norwich City last Saturday, and with Wrexham being held by Middlesbrough, it meant the Tigers claimed a spot in the play-offs that they had held for four months before dropping out in the weeks ahead of the final weekend.

Sergej Jakirovic’s men now face Millwall over two legs in the semi-final, with the first leg coming at the MKM Stadium on Friday night, before the return at The Den on Monday.

“If Hull City gets promoted to the Premier League, I’m sending the entire team to Las Vegas on a private plane. That will be their reward,” the Tigers owner said on his own TV8 channel, which will broadcast live from the MKM Stadium on Friday evening.
